The sleeper exchanger Windhoff ASW is a multi-functional unit the removal and replacement of the ballast plane and for the removal and replacement of individual and consecutive sleepers.
The 2-way excavator or the track construction machine will connect with the ASW, and hydraulic power is also provided via the supporting machine. The hydraulically actuated sleeper grapple and a rotator for endless turning of the device ensure the safe and careful handling of concrete sleepers type B55/58 and B70 as well as wooden or steel sleepers.
